Road Rocket is one of the main characters of the Apocalypse-Rocket Series, as well as a widely recurring role throughout the plotline, progressing through each stage of the story first as a supporting character, then an ally, and finally a central protagonist. It's been noted that Road Rocket has in one way or another managed to weasel his way into every single Apocalypse-Rocket game ever released, whether canon or not, and earned the title role in the parody platformer "Road Rocket: The Emerald", a spinoff of his original Sonic: The Emerald series. He first appeared in comic form as a supporting character in Sonic: The Comic, made his first canon Apocalypse-Rocket appearance in Sonic: The Emerald, then later made his game premiere in the comic's sequel project, Emerald: Star City.
